MEDIC First Aid CarePlus is an adult, child and infant CPR & AED program designed specifically for persons who are occupationally required or just desire to have CPR and AED knowledge and skills.

FIRE WARDEN        Register 


3 Hours (English)
Overview
This course will provide the necessary training required to be a qualified Fire Warden. It will provide an understanding of fire, familiarize you with fire hazards, fire safety arrangements, and detail what your emergency evacuation procedures should entail.

Course Objectives
For Fire Wardens to learn what to do & how to manage people to safety in an emergency or fire situation.

Course Content
Participants will  learn:
– What is Fire?
– How it moves smoke?
– Protection against Fire
– People at risk in the event of fire
– Routine checks
– Fire Fighting equipment
– Evacuation techniques and strategies
– Action in the event of fire
– Safe evacuation and fire assembly

Assessment
Written test

Certification
Candidates will receive a Towell Knowledge Institute attendance certificate.

Refresher Training & Certification Validity Period
Refresher Training is recommended every 2 years.


Initial Fire Response (IFR)        Register 


4 Hours (English)
Overview
The training course is designed to raise awareness of fire hazards in the workplace and how to act safely in the event of an emergency fire situation, including selecting and using a fire extinguisher. The course is designed to train staff in your fire safety procedures.

Course Objectives

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
– Describe the chemistry of fire
– Identify fire hazards in the workplace
– Follow evacuation procedures
– Select and use appropriate fire fighting equipment

Course Content
– Fire safety (Overview)
– Understanding the physics and chemistry of fire
– Development and spread of fire
– Action in the event of fire
– Means of raising alarm
– Means of summoning the fire brigade
– Action on hearing the fire alarm
– Evacuation procedures
– Practical demonstration in the use of foam and CO2 fire extinguishers using our state of the art gas fired training system.

Assessment
Assessment is by a multiple choice test and practical demonstration.

Certification
Towell Knowledge Institute of attendance In  Initial Fire Response (IFR) are awarded to participants on successful completion of course.

Refresher Training & Certification Validity Period
Refresher training is recommended at intervals of not greater than  2 years.
